These terms cover the paid consulting described on the consulting page. Everything else on this site, the writing, the downloads, and the evaluation plan, is free and has nothing to buy.
Who you are working with
The work is done by me, Michael Carroll. Engagements are contracted and invoiced through MC AI Studio LLC, a New York limited liability company that I own.

All prices are in US dollars (USD). Every engagement starts with a short written agreement that states the scope, the price, the schedule, and when payment is due. If that agreement and this page ever differ, the agreement is what counts.
Refunds
For the fixed-price work (the Blueprint Sprint, the Spec Review, and coaching):
- Before work starts, you can cancel for any reason, and anything you have paid is refunded in full.
- After work starts, you can stop at any time and you will not be charged anything further. Payments already made for work in progress are not refunded, with the two exceptions below.
- Unused coaching sessions are refunded in full.
- If what I deliver does not match the written scope we agreed, tell me within 14 days of delivery and I will fix it at no charge. If I cannot fix it, you get a full refund for that piece of work.
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, within 10 business days of the refund being agreed.
Cancelling the fractional retainer
The retainer runs month to month with no lock-in. Cancel at any time by emailing [email protected], replying to any message from me, or through the contact form. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period, and you are not billed for any period after that. A period already underway is not split or refunded.
Rescheduling a call is always fine. Tell me as soon as you know.
If something is wrong with a charge
Contact me first. I reply within a few days, usually sooner, and a problem I can fix is faster for both of us than a card dispute. You keep every right your card issuer gives you.
Payment security
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure, encrypted pages and never pass through or get stored on this site.

Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the new terms apply only to work agreed after that date.
